One Status, Three Takes

Read the three statuses below and think of three different scenarios where the original status listed could be interpreted to mean something different.
For example, if the status update was, “Goodbye, cruel world!” it could be a reach out for help, a reference to pop culture (Pink Floyd album or several other songs), or someone being overly dramatic and silly. What it meant to the original poster depends on their situation and personality, and what it means to the reader varies as well. Be sure to consider biases and different social groups as you write.

For each of the statuses below, discuss each interpretation of the status. Your paper should be 2-3 pages in length.

Status 1: They’re always trying to keep me down!
Status 2: A very good day. I didn’t have to see any of the sickly, disgusting mites that live around here.
Status 3: I love my life!

A Carbon-Neutral Energy Plan

Part 1 A Carbon-Neutral Energy Plan for Ashfordton
Prior to beginning this discussion, read Chapters 7 and 8 in your course textbook.
Imagine that you are a resident of Ashfordton, a community whose characteristics are described below. You have come together with your neighbors for a special meeting to devise a plan for helping the community become carbon-neutral by 2050, meaning that by that time, no net carbon dioxide emissions will be produced by residents as a whole.
Fortunately, you have all attended the meeting with knowledge that you have gained from your readings in this course. Now it is time to put your thinking cap on and get to work! Your plan should consist of the following elements:
• Energy conservation measures (e.g., promoting carpooling by adding special lanes to local highways).
• Steps to move toward sustainable energy production (e.g., installing solar panels on town government buildings).
o Reducing energy consumption will help, but some actions will have to involve switching to other power sources for buildings and vehicles as well.

Math/Physic/Economic/Statistic Problems

A case study will be given. There will be data analysis parts that need to be done in MS Excel. And for Demand, as mentioned in the Case Study we have to use our Last Four digits of Student ID. Therefore the last four digits of my student are 0025

M2 Communication Project: Role-Play Common Situations

Instructions
COMMUNICATION PROJECT: ROLE-PLAY COMMON SITUATIONS

Project Overview

Effective communication is essential for every job, and communication occurs in multiple ways (verbal, non-verbal, written, interpersonal, intrapersonal, etc.). In this assignment you will identify effective methods of communication in response to common workplace situations.

Project Instructions

Review the Workplace Communication Scenarios handout.
Identify and describe how you might approach each scenario using three unique communication tactics, as outlined in the article, “20 Ways to Communicate Effectively With Your Team.”
Submit an explanation of your chosen communication methods for each scenario in an audio or video recording.
Briefly describe why you believe the methods you chose for each scenario would be a good fit.
Remember to pay close attention to the details of each situation so you can determine the most effective response.
You may find it helpful to prepare for your audio/video recording by writing down your communication approaches and outlining your main points. Then, you may want to complete a few trial runs, practicing your recording.
Review the guidelines from the “Effective Communication article” in this module. As you record your presentation, make sure that you:
speak clearly
maintain an even tone
make eye contact with the camera (if video recording)
