This is MSc in Criminology.

Research Question means a research topic of your choice. For example in class we worked in groups with to develop a research question one was has there been a rise in stalking because of the use of social media. Another example could be exploring decision making by police in the use of stop and search powers.

You have to come up a research area and think about how you would use participant observations to explore and answer research question. The research question has to have a criminological focus.

-Consider Tim Palmer’s discussion of ‘New French Extremism’, in which he aks: “What is it about these works that renders the experience of them so memorable, so vivid?” How would you go about answering such as question in relation to Claire Denis’ Trouble Every Day or any of the other films referenced in the lecture?
