Create a PowerPoint presentation.
2. Designed for young children – assume 5th – 7th grade, so elementary to middle school (10-13 years?)
3. BUT challenge them (this is achieved by showing college-level, then kid-level information – see below)
– Explain the science/chemistry behind the demo – use formulas, structures, reactions, diagrams, whichever combination is best for your demo.
• These slides should emphasize specific formulas, reactions, diagrams that explain the science
• On each, a FEW words, SHORT bullet points, and/or labels may be displayed to explain basics
• Provide a college-level version and then a kid-level version
• A thorough explanation should be provided in the Notes section below each slide; college-level explanation for college-level slides, kid-friendly explanation for kid-level slides
Describe and explain one (*or two) real world health/medical application(s) of some aspect of your demo
• I encourage the use of pictures or diagrams, along with formulas, structures, etc. depending on your application
• On each, a FEW words, SHORT bullet points, and/or labels may be displayed to explain basics
• A thorough explanation should be provided in the Notes section below each slide
