We are practicing neuro plasticity by improving hand writing on our non dominant hand.
05/23/20(pre-test) we do Pre test (10 penny picking from the table to your palm and putting them down) with left hands and right hand to see the discrepancy between dexterity and speed capabilities of my two hands.
The results says that my right hand performs significantly better than my left hand. My initial results on left hand was 15 second and 11seconds for the left hand.
Post-Test: 06/13/20 (post-test) The post test was 14second for the left hand and 11seconds for the right hand.
5/23/20 Beginning the day of the pretest we perform a first and last name writing activity, 5 times a day for 3 weeks to improve fine motor skills on nondominant hand to see improvement and to see neuro plasticity.
06/13/20 will be my last day to write my name 5 times a day to compare to see the improvement.
Thank you for helping out.
This is the points that you must write to get the points.
and Please dont forget to answer last part “Reflection and Evidence:”
Graded portion will include your ability to:
Paper will be APA format, include a title page, and a reference page. It should also include the following headers and topics:
Introduction:
In one-two paragraphs explain the assignment and educational intention of the assignment. Be sure to introduce the assessment used for the project (and cite it) and an explanation of neuroplasticity to your reader.
Results:
Chosen assessment is completed, scored and explained.
Interpretation:
Interpretation of the results of both the scored assessment and the handwriting sample (activity analysis) to explain the results of the intervention.
Reflection and Evidence:
Ending summary explaining the learnings of this assignment, relation to neuroplasticity and one evidence-based article to support this approach. Be sure to discuss the following: Was the timeframe of 3 weeks randomly chosen or not, do you think this impacted results, why do you think the results changed (if they did), if they did not change why do you think that is? What does the current literature say about neuroplasticity? How do these results impact your thought process in clinical practice and what did this assignment show us?
