Using the poems and essays we discussed in class, write a paper of at least 4 pages which explores Ecopoetry. You will use at least one (1) poem, one (1) essay we read in class (CK Williams’ “Nature, Panic,” Tremblay’s “No More Nature” or Brenda Hillman’s “Ecopoetics Minifesto: A Draft for Angie”) and one (1) outside source (an article or academic paper ) as sources for your paper.
In the essay, you will answer the questions of: What makes or doesn’t make the poem I have chosen an Ecopoem and what is the author trying to say about our relationship to Nature? To do this, first construct a definition of what makes an ecopoem and use that as the lense through which you examine the poem.
This paper is a thesis driven paper, organization and evidence are crucial and should be your focus. This essay will have a Works Cited page and include proper citation.
