This section of the paper builds on your weekly data collection (assignment 4) to analyze your original research and explains its significance. You should explain how the original data you collected answers your research question, and discuss your original contribution. Although you should BRIEFLY reference your lit review to identify similarities or contrasts between your findings and those in the literature, this section of the paper does NOT rely on library research. Instead, it discusses your interpretations of the data you collected through your interviews, ethnography, internship or primary document analysis. Your original data and analysis is the star of this section of your paper!
The goal is to learn how to find current information that isn’t always available in the library, much like an investigative journalist. You’ll get familiar with some websites and techniques for finding information about local, state and federal decision-making processes in real time.
For the lit review part of your paper, you can write about this.
A related question might be about the type of support needed from elected officials, school districts, & other decision-makers to ensure that these programs are available and correctly implemented. You could choose a locality or school district and see if you can find budget documents and/or proposed legislation or policy documents to see whether these important programs are being prioritized.
Anyway, these are just some ideas about a few ways to continue your project with no internship, but you have tons of options.
This section should be between 6-10 pages double-spaced and organized using sub-headings.
