Your job is to demonstrate, using your research methods knowledge, the type of information you could collect and how you would do it. You will not need to collect the data.
Using the case studies provided, make a decision on how you would help find the data that that one case is looking for. Throughout your work, justify why you have made the decisions using relevant academic literature. You should also indicate what ethical issues may be present in this research and how you might avoid them.
CASE STUDY: The fundraising manager of a local homeless charity has approached you as they would like to organise a fundraising event. The charity has a limited budget (£5000) and would like to attract a diverse range of attendees.
There are two principal aims to the event:
1) to raise awareness of the charity and its aim to reduce homelessness in the area.
2) To raise money for the charity. The charity needs to organise the most effective possible event in meeting these aims.
