Is there an argument to be made, do you agree or disagree with Mill?
Write about the following questions:
Is representative government the best form of government? Mill suggests that it is in chapters 2 and 3 of his work. What are his reasons for claiming so? What do you think of these reasons and
why? What are the advantages and disadvantages of popular government?
Paper format rules:
First paragraph: A first paragraph should be a map of the whole paper. It should start by saying what the issue is that matters to us. Be substantive and concrete, just empty and flowery first thing the reader needs to know is what is the problem the paper is about and why is it important. Then, why is it a problem—what seems unclear or confusing about it. Why is this section of the book helpful to look at. Then what will you be examining in this paper? And then a
thesis: What will I be arguing in this paper in my reflections.
The body of the paper should demonstrate what the author says and then support your thesis.
The conclusion should not repeat what the paper said in a single paragraph. It should bring the parts of the body together, but it should do so to achieve a conclusion about the claim.
