The first paragraph should carefully articulate how Henry transforms himself as a mature and realistic character in The Red Badge of Courage, and your interpretation should be validated with at least three essential quotes from the beginning, middle, and ending of the book–each quote should be selected from a different chapter. According to your careful reading, what and who exactly helps him to become a grown-up soldier from a boy who has a fantasy and misconception about being a soldier!
The second paragraph should elaborate your own epiphany that is closely related to that of Henry who risks his own life and then becomes a more sophisticated and responsible person. That is, what is the meaningful moment of your life that drastically and positively changed you to become a much better person as you are now.
The third paragraph should carefully summarize the following clip by including the three concrete cases of adversity that he successfully overcame. What does four terms mean to him, and what have you learned from his speech to thrive…?
