Task 1
a) Identify and discuss in detail the steps involved in a Taguchi Design of Experiments (DOE).
Task 2
Compare and contrast the following three strategic development techniques; SWOT, PESTLE and Porter’s Five Force Analysis.
Describe each technique correctly giving examples of the external and internal factors considered by the techniques.
Task 3
b) Developed at Mitsubishi’s Kobe shipyard. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) translates the voice of the customer in product design, relating to ‘who’, ‘what’ and ‘how’.
Give three reasons why a company should use QFD.
Task 5
Two of the most important team organisation theories are those of Belbin and Tuckman. Belbin’s theory describes team roles at work and Tuckman’s theory describes the stages of team progression. Provide a detailed description Tuckman’s FIVE stages of a team’s progression and discuss the implications for team activities.
